Finally I stormed into my doc's office and said enough, I want a bone scan, sign me up. It took awhile to get in, because BC is majorly backed up with medical services, but the results were undeniable: I had stress fractures - on both my ankles! By the time it was finally diagnosed, I was already on my way to healing though and I think I was off running for 3-4 weeks. In the meantime, I was in the pool and on the trainer, which majorly helped keep my fitness up, and going to physio helped too. So glad you got in right away... at the very least, if it doesn't show anything, that's one less thing you have to worry about :DKatie @ www.princessofpavement.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16227352297886998750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9010562925876755413.post-1176267586406996052011-10-27T13:53:11.800-04:002011-10-27T13:53:11.800-04:00This is kind of confusing! I'm surprised (and at the same time, NOT surprised)that your regular MD would take such a stand and NOT at least refer you to a sports MD or something. Run on an injury? um, no.
Oh and that last part... argh.
BUT.. bone scan tomorrow.
you're on the right path.Scullyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05745442527137426283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9010562925876755413.post-70814273049405103602011-10-27T10:51:28.807-04:002011-10-27T10:51:28.807-04:00I started following your blog too recently to reme...I started following your blog too recently to remember when you started describing your pain or what you have/haven't been diagnosed with, but another thing to consider is Posterior Tibialis Tendonitis.

After seeing a sports "legs" doctor who made me go get a bone scan (no fractures), I was still having pain. Went back to the sports "foot" doctor who got the diagnosis right......Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02863022781106711022noreply@blogger.com
